Here are a dozen photographs taken from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We got on the Parkway at Asheville, NC and drove north past Mt. Mitchell and Grandfather Mountain. I think we were about a week early for the peak colors as there was still a lot of green in most places. The weather was also quite bad most of the day with light to heavy rain. It did clear up later in the afternoon. By then all of the popular overlooks were too crowded to park at safely. Still it was a nice day trip.
For this trip I limited myself to my telephoto lens. I already have a lot of wider angle photographs of the area. So, I wanted to try something different this time around.
